Art Basel Highlights

Black Format had the privilege to get immersed in the Art Basel event in Miami. It was an amazing 3 days, full of art, drinks, good food and fun. Even though we didn’t visit the convention center, we actually went to Friends with You, Design District, Wynwood Arts District, Art Miami and Scope.

Our schedule went from watching live music from Neon Indian, to living the nightlife in the Wynwood Arts District.

Neon Indian
Finally, got to see Neon Indian live, and like expected it was incredible. The only downside was the amount of songs they played, i think 7? can’t remember… but it was a short set. The sound was a little rough on the edges but overall it was an awesome show.

Scope, Art Miami & Red Dot
Nothing but amazing, Os Gemeos, London Police, Ray Ceasar… incredible galleries and Artists. Red Dot was overall a little disappointing nothing too special there.

Wynwood Arts District

Was absolutely incredible. Getting ready to leave Miami – I got a call from the awesome Piktorama… If it wasn’t for that call we would have missed what I personally think was the best spot in town. If you are into street art, lowbrow and underground Artists this is the place you want to be at.

Spent all friday night drinking, talking and enjoying art. Too bad we didn’t get any pictures there. (left my camera in the car and was too entertained to go back)
